Focus Lighting is an award-winning architectural lighting design firm based in Harlem, New York City. Founded in 1987, Focus Lighting has worked with world-renowned architects and interior designers on projects throughout the United States, South America, Europe, China and the Middle East. With projects ranging from large entertainment and retail facilities, to hotels, museums, restaurants, and high-end residences, Focus Lighting continues to create innovative lighting designs that are tailored to each individual project.
Recent projects designed by Focus Lighting include, The Atlantis Resort at The Palm, Dubai; Tavern on the Green; the Times Square Ball; Broadway’s new Helen Hayes and Lyric Theatres; and the new Ocean Wonders: Sharks! exhibit at the New York Aquarium. The firm has won over sixty design awards in its thirty years.
Savona Bailey-McClain is the Executive Director & Chief Curator of the West Harlem Art Fund, which has organized high-profile public art exhibits throughout New York City for the past 18 years, including Times Square, DUMBO, Soho, Governors Island and Harlem. Her public art installations encompass sculpture, drawings, performance, sound, and mixed media, and have been covered extensively by the New York Times, Art Daily, Artnet, Los Angeles Times and Huffington Post, among many others. She is host/ producer of “State of the Arts NYC,” a weekly radio podcast heard on a dozen audio platforms and she is a member of ArtTable.
